Days and Waking Night Support Worker positions available!

Salary: £24,853 - £28,938 per annum

Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hours per week

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Hounslow, Hillingdon, Merton (SW19)

Positions: Days and Waking Nights available (Waking Nights in Merton (SW19))

About the role

As a Support Worker, you will work directly with people in their homes and in the community. You will be expected to support people with a variety of needs, enabling them to live the lives they want.

Duties will include:

- Building great relationships with people we support and the people important to their lives
- Promoting choice and participation when supporting people with daily tasks
- Co-creating opportunities for people to try new things and offering information to support people in making their own choices
- Offering personalised support by working with people’s strengths to build their confidence and overcome obstacles with the aim of achieving their goals
- Encouraging people to participate in activities that bring them joy and meaning

About you

To be a Support Worker at Certitude, it is essential you:

- Supporting people who may challenge (verbally, physically), particularly people on the autistic spectrum
- Keeping calm and confident in challenging situations
- Experience in Positive Behaviour Support
- Experience of enabling people with a learning disability/autism to take positive risks in their lives
- Possess a manual driving licence and be able to drive a 7-seater van
- Knowledge of the Transforming Care Agenda

You will be given training, development and coaching to help you feel confident in providing great support and to help you advance in your career.
