Kenton Black are recruiting for an Estimator on behalf of an established fit-out contractor based in Dundee.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established and growing fit-out contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial interior and refurbishment projects across Scotland. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary and benefits package, alongside the opportunity to play a key role within a successful and expanding business.

Key responsibilities will include preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions, analysing drawings and specifications, obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations, and managing project costs throughout the pre-construction phase. You will work closely with clients, design teams and internal stakeholders to ensure competitive and commercially viable tenders are submitted, while identifying value engineering opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with key supply chain partners.

The ideal candidate will have previous estimating experience within the fit-out, interiors or construction sector and possess strong commercial awareness and attention to detail. You should be confident interpreting technical drawings, managing multiple tenders simultaneously and working to strict deadlines. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential, along with a proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
