We are looking to recruit a confident, adaptable, and proactive Cover Supervisor to support our partner schools. This role is ideal for someone seeking a combination of full-time work alongside the flexibility to undertake ad-hoc assignments, including responding to early morning calls for same-day cover.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning by supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will be expected to maintain a positive learning environment, manage behaviour effectively, and ensure pupils remain engaged with the work that has been set.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during teacher absences.
Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure pupils remain focused and on task.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Build positive relationships with pupils while maintaining high expectations.
Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and pupil engagement.
Be available to work flexibly, including responding to early morning calls for same-day cover when required.About You
The successful candidate will:

Have previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or experience working with children within UK primary or secondary schools.
Be confident leading a classroom and managing groups of pupils independently.
Have a strong classroom presence and the ability to establish authority while building positive, professional relationships with young people.
Demonstrate excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
Be reliable, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to different school environments.
Be seeking both full-time opportunities and the flexibility to accept ad-hoc work when required.
Be passionate about supporting young people and contributing to their educational experience.A degree or relevant educational qualification is desirable but not essential. This role is also well suited to graduates considering a future career in teaching who already have school-based experience.
