Field Services Engineer
Location: UK wide travel
Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Field Services Engineer to support the delivery of technology and infrastructure projects across critical environments, including utilities, industrial facilities, public sector sites, and data centres. The role involves installing, testing, and commissioning a range of operational technology and security systems while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

What We're Looking For
A motivated engineer with strong technical skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to build positive customer relationships while delivering high-quality work in demanding operational environments.
* Install, test, and commission security, networking, and infrastructure systems.
* Deliver projects safely, efficiently, and within agreed timescales.
* Install cabinets, containment systems, cabling, and associated equipment.
* Conduct cable testing, fault finding, and documentation of results.
* Produce progress updates, site reports, and technical records.
* Carry out site surveys and support project planning activities.
* Liaise with customers, contractors, and site management teams.
* Supervise or coordinate site activities when required.
* Support and mentor less experienced engineers.
* Ensure compliance with all company and client health and safety requirements.
* Participate in on-call or standby arrangements where necessary.
* Maintain company vehicles, tools, and test equipment.
* Practical experience installing one or more of the following: security systems, networking equipment, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, wireless infrastructure, or electrical systems.
* Valid site safety certification (CSCS or equivalent).
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and digital reporting tools.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
* Experience with structured cabling, including fibre optic and copper systems.
* Site supervision qualifications such as SSSTS.
* Experience working on utility, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
* Authorisations or certifications relevant to regulated or critical environments.
