This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys a varied, hands-on role within a manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a Warehouse Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the business. Working across Goods In, Stock Management and Despatch, you'll help maintain accurate inventory, support production, and ensure customer orders are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
*
Receive, inspect and book in incoming deliveries.
*
Accurately store materials within warehouse locations.
*
Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
*
Load and unload vehicles safely using a forklift truck.
*
Carry out stock checks and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
*
Process customer returns where required.
*
Update warehouse and inventory systems accurately.
*
Support production by ensuring materials are available when needed.
*
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
*
Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, proactive and enjoys working as part of a team. You will ideally have experience within a manufacturing or engineering warehouse environment.
Essential Requirements
*
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
*
Previous warehouse experience.
*
Experience with Goods In and/or Despatch operations.
*
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
*
Basic IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
*
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
*
A positive, flexible and team-oriented attitude.
Desirable Experience
*
Reach Truck or additional FLT licences.
*
Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP or SAP experience.
*
Stock control or inventory management.
*
Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
*
Export despatch knowledge.
