Responsibilities & Duties
Implementing audio-visual systems tailored to client needs
Performing installation and setup of AV equipment such as projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools
Conducting troubleshooting of AV systems
Configuring and calibrating AV equipment to ensure optimal performance
Providing technical support and training for users on AV system operation
Collaborating with network engineers to integrate AV systems into network infrastructure
Managing and documenting inventory of equipment and accessories
Staying up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends
Understanding detailed system installation diagrams and technical drawings/documentation
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Qualifications & Skills (Mandatory)
CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification
Proficiency in AV control systems: Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting systems such as Crestron, Q-SYS, AMX, and Extron.
Rack building and cable management: Expertise in assembling AV racks, terminating cables, and following signal path documentation.
Collaboration tools integration: Ability to interface AV systems with productivity platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, and Google Meet.
Logitech video conferencing systems: Expertise in deploying and supporting Logitech Rally, Tap, and Sync platforms within Microsoft Teams and Zoom Room environments.
Networking and IT integration: Strong understanding of IP Networking, VLANs, PoE, and AV-over-IP solutions, including Dante and NDI protocols.
Qualifications & Skills (Optional)
Signal flow and AV distribution: Familiarity with video switching, Matrix routing, HDBaseT, HDMI, and SDVoE technologies.
Crestron programming and deployment: Ability to develop and maintain Crestron control solutions using SIMPL, SIMPL+, VT Pro-e, or Crestron Studio.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software for system layout
Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
Q-SYS ecosystem knowledge: Experience programming Q-SYS Core processors, utilizing Q-SYS Designer Software, and integrating audio DSPs with AV networks.
AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist - Installation (CTS-I) Certifications
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Comfortable working with cabling, wiring, and electrical systems
Ability to lift and carry heavy AV equipment as required
Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Flexibility to travel to different sites for installations and support
Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to AV installations
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
