Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and hardworking Yardman to support the day-to-day running of a busy operational yard in Horsham. This is a hands-on role where you'll help ensure vehicles, plant, equipment and materials are ready to support major utilities projects.

The Role
Working as part of the operational support team, you will be responsible for:
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised yard
Loading and unloading vehicles, equipment and materials
Preparing plant, tools and equipment ready for site teams
Carrying out routine inspections of vehicles, plant and equipment, reporting any defects
Managing stock levels of materials, consumables and PPE
Assisting with deliveries, collections and the mobilisation of site teams
Supporting vehicle servicing schedules and maintaining accurate records
Operating forklifts and other yard equipment where qualified
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety procedures
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Yardman, Yard Operative, Warehouse Operative or in a similar role
A strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices
The ability to carry out manual handling and physical work
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive attitude and willingness to support operational teams
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Desirable:
Forklift licence
Experience within the drainage, utilities, construction or infrastructure sectors
