Our client is one of the UK's leading metal stockholders, supplying manufacturers across sectors including aerospace, automotive, marine and precision engineering.
They're now looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead their sales team and play a key role in the next phase of the site's continued growth.
This is a people-first leadership role.
Rather than managing a portfolio of customers, your focus will be on developing, coaching and motivating a team of 6-7 sales professionals to achieve exceptional results.
You'll have the autonomy to shape your own strategy, improve performance and build a culture where people thrive.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead, coach and develop the sales team.
* Drive performance against annual GP targets.
* Create and implement sales strategies.
* Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for growth.
* Support key customer relationships when needed.
* Build a motivated, high-performing team.
About You
We're looking for a proven sales leader who gets the best out of people.
You'll ideally have:
* Experience managing a successful sales team.
* A track record of delivering commercial growth.
* Strong coaching and leadership skills.
* Excellent commercial awareness.
* Experience selling products or commodities (desirable, not essential).
* You don't need metals industry experience.
