Pay: Daily Rate of £194.21 - £300.40
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 SEN Teacher to join a lovely mainstream school in Feltham, Hounslow, providing essential support to students with additional needs - namely autism.
The Semi-Formal Pathway adopts a thematic and contextualised approach to learning, designed to support the understanding and engagement of autistic & ADHD pupils. The curriculum incorporates a multi-sensory approach, with a strong emphasis on developing life skills and fostering independence. Communication, alongside Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy, is embedded within the timetable and delivered in line with each pupil’s EHCP targets.
The Role:
* Teaching to small classrooms for students with Autism & ADHD needs
* Conducting classroom activities and adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
* Implementing strategies to support students’ emotional regulation and engagement in learning
* Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Helping students develop confidence, independence, and social skills
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN/Autism/ADHD
* QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualifications
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to support individual needs
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A passion for making a difference in students' lives
* Relevant training or qualifications is a plus but not required
