Fleet & Logistics Coordinator

W Talent is delighted to be partnering with a leading UK organisation operating within the energy recovery and resource recycling sector. The business plays a vital role in supporting the UK's sustainability and climate objectives by transforming waste into valuable energy through a network of advanced facilities.

As the organisation continues to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fleet & Logistics Coordinator to support the Fleet & Logistics Manager in the day-to-day operation of a busy commercial vehicle fleet.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised logistics professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where safety, compliance and operational efficiency are key priorities.

The Role

Supporting the Fleet & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth administration, maintenance and compliance of a growing fleet of commercial vehicles. You'll play a key role in ensuring vehicles remain roadworthy, drivers are fully compliant, and fleet performance is continually monitored and improved.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate routine vehicle servicing, MOTs, inspections and preventative maintenance to maximise fleet availability.
Monitor daily vehicle defect reports, ensuring all issues are addressed promptly and compliance standards are maintained.
Manage driver administration, including licence checks, onboarding support and accident/incident reporting.
Conduct end-of-shift driver debriefs, recording and escalating vehicle, operational or health & safety concerns.
Analyse GPS telematics data to monitor vehicle utilisation, fuel efficiency and driver performance.
Liaise with external maintenance providers and coordinate short-term vehicle hire when required.
Maintain accurate fleet records and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and minimise downtime.
Assist with ensuring compliance with all transport legislation and company policies.

About You

Essential

Previous administration experience within logistics, transport, fleet, warehouse or supply chain.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
Excellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
Confident communicator, able to build effective relationships with drivers, colleagues and external suppliers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Desirable

Previous experience within a transport office or fleet coordination role.
Experience using fleet management or transport management systems.
Understanding of vehicle compliance, transport legislation and health & safety requirements.
Knowledge of telematics and driver performance monitoring.What's on Offer
