Location: East Bristol (BS5)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Pay: £90-£105 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term with the potential to become permanent
Start Date: September 2026 / ASAP

Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a highly regarded Primary Academy in East Bristol, part of a successful and well-established multi-academy trust, to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils within the school's specialist resource provision.

This rewarding role will involve supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) alongside pupils who are learning English as an Additional Language (EAL). You'll work within a dedicated, nurturing provision designed to provide targeted support, helping pupils build confidence, develop communication skills and access learning in a calm and inclusive environment.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with SEN and EAL on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Deliver targeted interventions to develop communication, language and social skills.
Help pupils access learning through tailored resources and differentiated activities.
Build positive relationships that promote confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.
Work closely with teachers, the SEND team and specialist staff to provide high-quality support.
Contribute to a welcoming, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children in a school, nursery, care or similar setting.
Has an interest in supporting pupils with SEN and EAL.
Is patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
Builds positive relationships with children and works well as part of a team.
Has excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Requirements

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
Right to work in the UK.
