Our client is a specialist sub-contract manufacturer of high volume, precision brass turned parts, based in central Birmingham with a further production facility in Brownhills. A B2B supplier, components are manufactured to specific customer drawings.

Job description:
The Sales Executive role is office-based, working from our Birmingham facility. Whilst the primary duties are to manage customer accounts through direct contact, the role has many other facets such as working with the production team to achieve delivery schedules, generating new business through marketing, email communication, cold calling and customer visits, quoting new business and developing supply chain contracts. All of which are focussed on the customer receiving quality goods on time in full. The customer base is small but covers a wide array of sectors ranging from Gas, Electrical, Pneumatic and HVAC.

Role also includes:

Pinpoint and prospect for new business opportunities in new markets, such as medical, defence and renewable energy etc
Completion of monthly reporting activities
Assess enquiries and prepare quotations, letters and other documents relating to the promotion of the company
Achievement of sales targets and maximising revenue
Account management - Protection and expansion of existing accounts through the development of strong relationship using a consultative approach
Be the key interface and liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to deliver performance and quality KPIs, ensuring customer requirements are fulfilled.
Supporting other members of the sales team with expediting, documentation and order processingTraining will be provided where needed.

Who we’re looking for:

The role would suit an activity driven individual with a strong business development focus. The candidate should be commercially aware and be able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.

Proven successful track record and experience as a Sales Executive or in a similar sales role, e.g. internal sales, sales engineer, business development, account manager
It is essential you have well-developed interpersonal skills, be an excellent negotiator and relationship builder and can plan to achieve the company’s objectives.
Ideally the candidate will be apprentice trained with an appropriate engineering qualification and be able to demonstrate a high level of proficiency with MS Office packages.

Our ideal candidate is dynamic, hard-working and persistent and have the capability of communicating with clients of all levels. Presentation is very important and to this note we are looking for people who have the drive and ability to move onwards and upwards.
