You'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the nursery, working closely with department managers across growing, propagation, production, sales and logistics.
Day to day, you'll be:
Leading and supporting the nursery management team
Working with Directors to deliver business objectives
Coordinating departments to ensure smooth nursery operations
Reviewing performance, productivity and KPIs
Supporting managers with resource planning and team development
Driving continuous improvement across the nursery
Maintaining high standards of crop quality and customer service
Helping shape the long-term direction of the businessWhile this is a management role, you'll still need to understand growing and be comfortable discussing crop issues, biological controls and production challenges with the team.
What do I need?
Strong commercial nursery experience
Technical growing knowledge and commercial crop production experience
Previous management or leadership experience
Ability to lead managers and develop teams
Good organisational and communication skills
Commercial awareness and a practical approach
A genuine passion for horticultureYou might already be a Nursery Manager, or perhaps you're a senior grower or growing manager ready for a bigger challenge. Either way, we'd love to hear from you.
