A new opening is available for an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join a friendly, established tax department.

Our department has gained momentum through managing a diverse and growing portfolio of client accounts. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a confident, "hands-on" professional who is ready to take full ownership of delivering high-quality personal tax compliance and advisory services.

This role is well-suited to an organised, senior-level professional with solid practice experience and a strong "can-do" attitude. Whether you are a newly qualified ATT professional or an experienced tax specialist, the focus is on your ability to work on your own initiative, deliver accurate tax returns, and support a collaborative team. Personal Tax Senior Job Responsibilities

Manage and take full ownership of a personal tax client portfolio of approximately 330 clients.
Prepare personal self-assessment and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) returns.
Directly assist clients with queries, offering clear and proactive tax advice.
Attend client meetings and conduct phone calls to review tax returns and address queries.
Register trusts on the Trust Registration Service.
Liaise directly with HMRC to resolve queries, change tax codes, and chase refunds.
Assist with the preparation of P11Ds and support other ad hoc tax department duties.
Collaborate closely with other seniors, managers, and partners, particularly during peak tax seasons.

Personal Tax Senior Requirements

Proven experience managing personal tax portfolios within an accountancy practice is essential.
ATT qualified, or demonstrating equivalent substantial practical experience in tax.
Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance, self-assessments, CGT, and trusts.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
Proven ability to manage workloads and prioritisation across multiple clients simultaneously.
Must hold valid United Kingdom work authorisation and be fluent in English.
Able to comfortably commute to the Malvern office (with hybrid remote options available).
