Nursery Practitioner
Reports to: Nursery Manager
Job Purpose
To provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children can learn and develop to their full potential. Working as part of the Early Years team, you will deliver high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), building positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS.
* Act as a Key Person, building strong partnerships with parents and supporting each child's individual needs.
* Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate Learning Journals.
* Promote an inclusive environment that supports the wellbeing, development, and achievements of every child.
* Ensure children's health, safety, and welfare through effective risk assessment and safeguarding practice.
* Attend meetings, training, and supervision sessions, contributing positively to the nursery team.
* Support students and work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children.
* Maintain confidentiality and comply with all nursery policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Practitioner.
Working shift patterns of 7.45-4pm and 9.45-6pm
