Maintenance Operative
Salary: From £35,105 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota between 7:30am and 8:30pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
Location: Canary Wharf
Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of a leading residential property operator for a Maintenance Operative to join a busy, high quality living environment in Canary Wharf.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out day-to-day reactive maintenance and minor repairs, including basic plumbing, decorating and general building fabric repairs
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) inspections and routine building checks
Inspect communal areas, plant rooms and resident spaces, reporting and resolving maintenance issues promptly
Work alongside contractors, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Maintain accurate maintenance records using digital reporting systems
Support compliance with health & safety, fire safety and statutory building requirements
Respond quickly to maintenance issues and emergencies as required
Work closely with the wider site team to ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residentsRequirements
Previous experience in a facilities, estates or building maintenance role
Good all round maintenance skills, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering and general repairs
Experience working within residential, commercial or hospitality environments
Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices to complete maintenance records
