Personnel Selection are pleased to be recruiting for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join a well-established, growing business with a strong reputation for service, teamwork and continuous improvement. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to become part of a supportive warehouse and logistics team. Successful candidates will be subject to an interview.

The Role

Working within a busy warehouse environment, you will support the smooth movement of goods in and out of the business. The role will include packing, voice-controlled picking, receiving deliveries, checking stock, preparing goods for dispatch and ensuring materials are stored safely and accurately. Full induction and on-site training will be provided by the client.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out packing duties accurately and efficiently, ensuring goods are prepared to the required standard.
• Use voice-controlled picking systems to pick items correctly and support accurate order fulfilment.
• Receive inbound goods and materials, including unloading vehicles using appropriate handling equipment.
• Check deliveries against paperwork and ensure items are moved to the correct storage or stocking locations.
• Prepare outbound goods for shipment, ensuring items are labelled, packaged and checked accurately before dispatch.
• Load vehicles safely and efficiently, following correct handling procedures at all times.
• Accurately update warehouse systems and complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Move materials and components safely around the warehouse, using the correct equipment and wearing required PPE.
• Support stock accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock checks and reporting of any discrepancies.
• Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous warehouse experience is essential.
• Experience in packing, picking, goods-in, goods-out, stores or logistics would be highly beneficial.
• A reliable approach, good timekeeping and a willingness to learn.
• A good eye for detail and the ability to work accurately with paperwork, stock information and warehouse systems.
• A practical, hands-on approach and confidence working in a busy warehouse environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic, with safety, quality and accuracy in mind.
