Location: Southampton
Salary: £19.50 per hour + Overtime paid at 1.5x
Hours: 48 hours per week | 4 on, 4 off | 06:00 - 18:00
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a successful and growing commercial vehicle maintenance operation.

The Role
As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles, trailers and commercial vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring fleets remain safe, compliant and on the road.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out major and minor repairs to HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles.
Complete routine servicing and preventative maintenance, including inspections, oil changes and component replacement.
Diagnose mechanical faults and work collaboratively with the wider workshop team to identify effective repair solutions.
Maintain accurate service records, warranty documentation and workshop paperwork.
Ensure workshop equipment, tooling and working areas are maintained to a high standard.
Attend roadside breakdowns and emergency repairs where required.
Work in line with DVSA standards and manufacturer specifications.About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI).
Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs and trailers.
A good understanding of DVSA inspection standards.
A full UK driving licence.
IRTEC accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential.We're interested in experienced technicians who are committed to delivering high standards and who enjoy working as part of a professional and supportive team.
