A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established ground engineering consultancy in Glasgow. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of infrastructure, commercial and residential projects across Scotland while continuing to develop your technical and site-based experience.
The successful Geotechnical Engineer will be involved in all aspects of ground investigation and geotechnical design, from planning site investigations through to interpreting ground conditions and producing technical reports. You will work closely with clients, contractors and the wider engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions on a range of challenging projects.
The successful Geotechnical Engineer will have:
A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
Around 2-5 years' experience within a geotechnical or ground investigation consultancy.
Experience supervising ground investigations and interpreting ground conditions.
Strong geotechnical reporting skills.
A full UK driving licence.
Good communication and organisational skills.Duties will include:
Planning and supervising ground investigations.
Logging soil and rock to BS5930 standards.
Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
Carrying out geotechnical analysis and foundation recommendations.
Liaising with clients, contractors and subcontractors.
Managing projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
Ensuring work is completed safely, on time and within budget.Benefits:
