Electrician

Electrician required to work with a local North London based council.

Rate - £25.10 per hour (via umbrella)
Location - North London (must live within half hour of N9)
Length - 3 month rolling contract (possibility of obtaining a permanent contract)

The role:

Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance in both occupied and empty properties to a high standard, working independently with minimal supervision.
Complete basic repairs across other trades, including carpentry, plumbing, decorating, plastering, and wall/floor tiling. Resolve minor issues where possible and refer complex work to the relevant specialist.
Carry out refurbishment, repair, and maintenance work either independently or as part of a multi-skilled team. Complete property inspections when required and assist with emergency call-outs (e.g. after bad weather, vandalism, or fire).
Work across a variety of Council properties throughout the borough, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service.
Represent the Council professionally when working in customers' homes and other Council properties, maintaining high standards of workmanship, integrity, and customer care.Requirements:

Up to date knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, regulatory framework particularly in relation to Local Government compliance.
Clear understanding of repairs and maintenance process

Familiarity with Nat Fed SORs associated with the repairs and maintenance
Qualifications required:

NVQ level 3 in Electrical (or equivalent)
Driving Licence (van provided)
