Permanent and Contract Temp-to-Perm Opportunities Available

Global Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Steelwork Foreman / Working Manager to join our client’s highly skilled team.

We are currently recruiting for a Foreman / Working Manager with a strong background in architectural and structural steelwork, who can lead teams, oversee projects and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Location

The initial project will be based in Dalry, with future work available across multiple UK sites.

Salary & Benefits

Contract Temp-to-Perm Position

* £30.00 per hour CIS

* Overtime paid at £40.00 per hour

* Permanent positions available after 13 weeks on a temporary contract

* Permanent employment subject to a successful interview

Permanent Position

* Permanent roles are available following a successful interview

* Salary dependent on experience (DOE)

* Further details regarding permanent terms and benefits will be discussed during the interview process

The Role

The successful candidate will be an experienced Steelwork Foreman or Working Manager with a strong background in architectural and structural steelwork.

You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating site teams, overseeing steelwork installation and fabrication activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently, and maintaining high standards of workmanship.

The role will involve working across workshop and site environments, with travel to various UK locations as required.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Steelwork Foreman, Working Manager or Supervisor

* Strong background in steel fitting, fabrication and erection

* Experience with both architectural and structural steelwork

* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings

* Strong leadership and team management skills

* Ability to coordinate work and manage teams effectively

* Excellent communication skills

* Ability to work independently and use your own initiative

* Positive attitude and flexible approach to engineering work and working hours

* Valid CSCS Card – essential

* SMSTS or SSSTS certification – preferred

* IPAF – preferred

* Strong understanding of health and safety requirements

* Previous supervisory or management experience within the steelwork industry
