TIG Welder - 10 Day Shutdown

ES Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder / Mechanical Fitter to join a major shutdown project for our client, at a food manufacturing facility in Wakefield.
This is a 10-day contract working on the removal and installation of industrial process equipment, with excellent hourly rates, overtime available and lodge allowance for travelling candidates.
The Role
Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you'll be responsible for both high-quality TIG welding and assisting with the mechanical removal and installation of new machinery.
Duties include:
TIG welding 2mm stainless steel pipework
Welding approximately 130mm OD stainless pipe
Final welding of flanged pipework, elbows and powder conveying systems
Assisting with the removal of two existing roller mills
Helping install two new roller mills and associated equipment
Working safely within a food manufacturing environmentAll tack welding will be completed by the site supervisor - you'll be responsible for the final welds.
What We're Looking For
Proven TIG welding experience on stainless steel
Experience working on industrial shutdowns or installation projects
Happy to work as both a TIG Welder and Mechanical Fitter
Able to work from engineering drawings
Own hand tools
Reliable with a strong work ethicNo coding certificates required.
Pay & Benefits
£30.00 per hour (CIS / Limited Company)
Time and a Half for overtime and weekend working
10-hour shifts with additional hours available
£45 per night lodge allowance if accommodation is required
Specialist equipment provided
On-site parking
Site induction provided
No CSCS card required
