Presently, they operate from a state-of-the-art facility in Witham, where they supply architectural glass to some of the UK and Europe’s most high-profile buildings, airports, and transport hubs.
As a result, you will act as the face of the business. Specifically, you will deliver high-value products and provide outstanding customer service directly to clients across the UK.
Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join the team. You will be responsible for ensuring glass products are transported safely and efficiently from the factory in Essex to customers nationwide.
This is a multi-drop delivery role (averaging 6–10 deliveries a day depending on size and location) featuring early starts from the Witham HQ and a significant amount of city driving. Occasional overnight stays will be required, for which a “night out allowance” is provided.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide customers with accurate, efficient deliveries while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
* Load, secure, and unload glass products, ensuring they are safe for transport (some manual handling is required).
* Plan routes efficiently to consistently meet delivery schedules.
* Perform daily vehicle safety and mechanical inspections, carrying out basic maintenance and taking action where necessary.
* Adhere strictly to traffic laws and transport regulations, reporting any accidents or damage immediately.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and other required documentation.
* Maintain excellent communication with the internal transport team and fellow drivers.
* Attend all relevant training sessions to ensure you remain fully equipped for the role.
Skills & Experience Required
* Valid HGV Class 2 licence (or above).
* Valid, in-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* A Moffett Licence or experience operating a Moffett is highly desirable.
* Prior HGV multi-drop driving experience is advantageous (1 year preferred) but not essential.
* Excellent time management skills and a professional, friendly communication style.
