HGV Technician

Our client, a reputable commercial vehicle specialist based in Hull, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their team. Basic salary up to £46,800, increasing to £50,700 with overtime
Optional overtime available to maximise your earnings
Fixed two-week shift rota with early and late shifts
Work on a variety of commercial vehicles, including vans, flatbeds, curtainsiders, and tractor units
Paid overtime for Saturday mornings (1 in 2 rota)

Inspect and repair commercial vehicles to DVSA standards, including MOT preparation and presentation
Conduct fault diagnosis using advanced diagnostic equipment
Carry out general mechanical and electrical repairs as a HGV Technician
Attend breakdowns onsite and offsite as required
Maintain excellent customer service standards, ensuring vehicles remain on the road
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all timesRequirements of a HGV Technician:

Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance Qualification or equivalent
Proven experience as an HGV or Van Technician
Ability to work to high standards and attention to detail
Strong team work ethic and positive attitude
Commitment to professional development and adherence to health and safety protocols
Own set of tools
Full UK Driver’s LicenceThe successful HGV Technician will benefit from:
