Our client is seeking an experienced interim Risk & Compliance professional to provide immediate support during a critical period of organisational assurance and accreditation activity.

This is a hands-on role focused on strengthening the organisation's risk management processes and ensuring that quality management documentation is fully prepared and maintained ahead of an upcoming ISO 9001 accreditation inspection. The assignment is expected to last between three and six months while a longer-term solution is considered.

The Role

You will take own the risk management framework, ensuring risk registers are up to date, actions are progressed, and key risks are appropriately reported and managed. You will also lead the organisation's preparation for ISO 9001 accreditation activity, reviewing and updating quality management documentation, policies, procedures and supporting evidence.

Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you will provide assurance that compliance, governance and quality processes are operating effectively and identify opportunities for improvement.

Key Priorities

* Review, update and maintain organisational risk registers.

* Ensure risks have appropriate controls, mitigations and ownership arrangements in place.

* Support the preparation and organisation of evidence for ISO 9001 accreditation and external audits.

* Review and update quality management policies, procedures and related documentation.

* Lead quality and risk reporting for senior management and Board consideration.

* Support governance, compliance and assurance processes across the organisation.

* Advise managers on risk management and quality improvement activity.

* Identify gaps in documentation and implement practical solutions to ensure compliance.

About You

We are looking for an experienced quality, risk, governance or compliance professional who can quickly establish credibility and deliver improvements in a fast-paced environment.

You will ideally have:

* Experience of risk management and maintaining corporate risk registers.

* Experience supporting or leading ISO 9001 accreditation, audits or quality inspections.

* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

* Experience working with senior stakeholders and producing reports for Boards or leadership teams.

* A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently.

Experience within NHS, healthcare, estates, facilities management or public sector organisations is important.

Contract Details

* 3-6 month interim assignment.

* £300-£400 per day.

* Part-time opportunity (3-4 days per week).

* Predominantly site-based role in the North West.

* Immediate start preferred.
