Senior Architectural Technician

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, develop and coordinate detailed architectural drawings, technical packages and construction documentation using Revit.
Lead the technical delivery of projects from planning through construction.
Produce accurate BIM models and ensure compliance with project BIM standards and protocols.
Coordinate architectural information with structural, MEP and specialist consultants.
Resolve technical design issues while maintaining design intent, statutory compliance and buildability.
Review and manage drawing quality, accuracy and consistency across project teams.
Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance to project teams.
Attend design team meetings, client meetings and site visits as required.
Assist in preparing planning, tender and construction information.
Ensure projects comply with Building Regulations, planning requirements and relevant industry standards.
Support the implementation of quality assurance procedures and best practice.

Essential Skills & Experience

Minimum 5-8 years' experience as an Architectural Technician/Technologist within a UK architectural practice.
Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale high-rise and multistorey commercial developments.
Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit with a strong understanding of BIM workflows.
Excellent technical detailing and construction knowledge.
Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction standards.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant information.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable

Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
Membership of CIAT or working towards chartership.
Experience with Navisworks, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud and clash detection.
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and modern methods of construction.
Experience across mixed-use, office, retail or commercial developments.
