Whether youre considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy or another education-based profession, this role offers invaluable classroom experience alongside experienced educators.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, youll play an important role in helping students achieve both academically and personally by providing tailored support throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students in lessons across a range of curriculum subjects
• Working one-to-one and with small groups to reinforce learning
• Helping students with SEND and additional learning needs access the curriculum
• Promoting positive behaviour, confidence and independence
• Assisting teachers with classroom resources and learning activities
• Supporting students organisation, study skills and emotional wellbeing
• Contributing to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams

The Ideal Candidate

Were looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential
• A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Positive, patient, resilient and proactive
• Able to build strong relationships with students and colleagues
• Organised, reliable and adaptable

Essential Requirements
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Knowledge of ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia.

Desirable
A degree (completed or in progress)
Experience working with children or young people through tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work or volunteering
An interest in teaching or another education-related career
Knowledge of SEND (training can be provided)
