We are seeking a skilled engineer to join one a leading coach operator, maintaining a modern fleet of luxury coaches that deliver reliable transport services across the UK and Europe.
Whether you're an experienced PSV Technician or a qualified HGV Technician looking to move into the coach industry, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a PSV Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring the company's fleet of modern coaches is maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability and presentation.
Working within a well-equipped workshop, you'll carry out servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs to minimise vehicle downtime and ensure every vehicle leaves the depot in peak operating condition.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on coaches.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
* Complete routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards.
* Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and ensure they remain fully roadworthy.
* Carry out fault diagnosis using modern diagnostic equipment.
* Respond to vehicle defects and complete repairs efficiently.
* Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the workshop.
* Work closely with the engineering team to maximise vehicle availability.
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
What We're Looking For
* NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
* Experience working on PSV, HGV, LGV or other heavy vehicles.
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
* Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a professional workshop team.
* A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
* A PSV licence is desirable but not essential.
