HSE Manager
Salary: Circa £45,000 Depending on Experience
Location: Portland, Dorset (On-Site)
Join a well-established engineering and construction organisation as an HSE Manager, taking ownership of health, safety and environmental compliance across a diverse range of operational environments.
You will support the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS), provide expert HSE guidance across the business, and help foster a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and ISO 45001/14001 standards
Conduct risk assessments, develop RAMS and support safe systems of work
Investigate incidents, manage corrective actions and support RIDDOR reporting
Deliver audits, training, inductions and HSE awareness initiatives
Support emergency preparedness, contractor management and compliance activities
Produce HSE reports and maintain IMS documentation
Requirements:
NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
Auditing experience within ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 environments
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction or similar technical sectors
Strong understanding of HSE legislation, risk management and compliance
Excellent reporting, organisational and communication skills
Desirable Experience:
HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline
NEBOSH Fire and/or Environmental Management qualifications
Manufacturing, assembly or inspection environment experience
