About Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant with a sports background to join a great school in Liverpool starting in September 2026. You will be working with a student with ADHD. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a young person, providing tailored academic and emotional support within a secondary school setting.
1:1 Teaching Assistant

Type of work - Long Term
Start date - September 2026
Contract type - Long-term Temporary
Full time/part time - Full time
Pay: Paid to scale
Hours: - 8:30 am - 3:30 pmKey Responsibilities:
Work closely with a specific student to support their learning and progress across the curriculum.
Assist with adapting lesson materials to meet the student's individual needs.
Promote student engagement, confidence, and independence.
Liaise effectively with teachers, SENCO, and parents/carers.
Support the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviourThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with young people in an education setting, particularly those with additional learning needs, is desirable.
Sports background
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
Able to work collaboratively with staff
A relevant qualification (e.g. Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is an advantage.To be eligible:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
