Building Services Team Leader / Assistant Engineering Manager

Team Leader / Assistant Engineering Manager to work as part of a small building services team in a large factory/warehouse facility.
We are looking for a qualified electrician with previous supervisory / management experience within the building service / facilities maintenance sector. Working as part of the team to assist with the general maintenance and service of the site, ensuring the safety and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
General buildings upkeep and fabric maintenance.
Electrical maintenance and installation to 17th Edition Regulations.
Act as a key member within the team; supervising, mentoring and advising other technicians.
Planning jobs and organising maintenance schedules.
Liaising with contractors to arrange third party maintenance works.
Overseeing sub-contractors whilst on site.
Also assisting the rest of the team with first line maintenance of fixtures and fittings, examples: tightening screws on window hinges, maintenance on door handles, re-hanging doors and other minor building repairs. Plumbing: un-blocking sinks, traps and waste pipes.
Preferred Skills:
Apprentice trained Electrician.
Experience or qualifications in electrical engineering or general building maintenance.
Supervisory / Team Leader experience.
Ability to prioritise and problem solve.
Health and safety awareness.
The ability to be self-motivated and flexible.
Hours of work
Days 6:00 – 07:30 to 16:00 Monday to Friday
1 in 3 Weekend Cover (Saturday or Sunday) 07:30 – 16:00
