This is an exciting opportunity to join our English department, delivering high-quality teaching across a range of English programmes. With 6.1 FTE currently available, we're looking for talented English specialists to join our growing team. We're happy to consider full-time, part-time or job-share arrangements, so whether you're looking for a few hours each week or a full-time teaching role, we'd love to hear from you.
Whether you're an experienced lecturer or an English specialist looking to move into education, this is your opportunity to help learners build the confidence, communication and literacy skills they'll use throughout their lives.
What you'll do:
• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across English programmes
• Inspire and motivate learners to achieve their full potential and develop confidence in English
• Plan engaging lessons that meet the needs of learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities
• Monitor learner progress, providing timely feedback and support to maximise achievement
• Develop high-quality learning resources that reflect current curriculum requirements
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement across the department
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding learner experience
• Support learners to progress into further education, apprenticeships, higher education or employment
What we're looking for:
• A degree in English or a closely related subject
• A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
• Experience teaching, training or mentoring learners in an educational or workplace setting
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds
• A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional development
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and adults
