Horizon Teachers is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Kingston upon Thames from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced Teaching Assistants who are committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in the classroom, provide one-to-one and small group interventions, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable)
Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions
Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
Supporting students with additional learning needs where required
Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and academic progress
Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environmentWe're looking for candidates who:
Have experience working with children or young people (school experience is desirable)
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Are patient, proactive, and enthusiastic
Are passionate about supporting students to achieve their best
