£50k - £60k Annual
Full-Time
We are recruiting an IT Platforms technician for a specialist infrastructure and asset management organisation that operates across the UK. If you thrive on keeping complex, business-critical technology environments secure, resilient and future-ready and you want a senior role where your technical judgement genuinely shapes how the organisation runs - this is one to explore.
Location: Bristol. Salary: up to £60,000 + Extensive benefits package. Working arrangement: hybrid and flexible working available. Contract type: permanent, full time.
What you'll be doing
Own the technical health of the organisation's Microsoft 365 estate - including Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Defender - monitoring performance, managing alerts and driving proactive improvements.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for third-party vendors and managed service providers, ensuring solutions are aligned to business requirements and delivered to a high standard.
Lead the response to major incidents, carrying out root cause analysis, coordinating internal and external teams, and putting in place measures to prevent recurrence.
Maintain and develop identity and access management solutions, including SSO, MFA and automated provisioning, alongside the organisation's security, governance and compliance frameworks.
What you need to bring
Deep working knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, Active Directory, Windows Server and Power Platform.
Solid experience managing third-party vendors and service providers, with a track record of coordinating effective IT services and holding partners to account.
Good understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals - networking, firewalls, email security, backup, disaster recovery and identity and access management.
A collaborative, proactive approach: you communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, take ownership of problems, and see things through to resolution.
Why you'll love this job
A standout benefits package including private medical insurance, a healthcare cash plan, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, menopause support and access to online GP services.
25 days annual leave increasing with service, a generous private pension plan, life assurance, and genuine flexibility through hybrid and adaptable working arrangements.
A real investment in your future - with ongoing learning and development opportunities, support for professional study and memberships, and a culture that takes continuous improvement seriously.
If you're ready to take on a senior technical role with real scope and impact, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now with your up-to-date CV and we'll be in touch to discuss the opportunity in more detail
