SRG are currently partnering with one of Scotland's leading scientific start-up companies as they search for a senior analytical chemistry technician to join their production department on a full-time, permanent basis. This role requires the candidate to work on a rotating shift pattern that includes evenings and weekends.

The Role

As Senior Analytical Technician you will be responsible for the set-up and operation of analytical instrumentation - primarily UPLC, NMR and TLC, as well as being involved in the troubleshooting of this instrumentation. You will also be heavily involved in analytical process development to implement changes that can improve consistency and efficiency.

In addition to this, you will be handling and processing the results generated and using this data to inform production development and decisions whilst supporting junior colleagues on the tasks outlined above.

The Right Person

Prior experience in an industrial analytical chemistry lab
Demonstrable experience operating and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation - namely UPLC, LC-MS and NMR
Qualified to degree level in a relevant subject (equivalent experience will be considered)
Willing and able to work a variety of shifts as required by the business
The organisation are unable to provide sponsorship for this position so the successful candidate must have full, indefinite right to work in the UK.
