The SEN Teaching Assistant role:
* Supporting students with severe autism and complex needs
* Providing one-to-one and small-group support
* Helping students develop their communication, social and life skills
* Supporting with sensory activities and creative learning
* Managing challenging behaviour calmly and confidently
* Providing personal care when required
* Working closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant candidate:
* Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
* Is active, energetic and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Is confident supporting challenging behaviour
* Is patient, resilient and caring
* Is reliable and committed to the role
* Is willing to go above and beyond for the students
