Hours: 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am – 5:00pm; Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Telecare Field Technician to join our team. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, replacing, and maintaining telecare equipment in customers' homes and supported housing settings.
This is a lone-working position, requiring excellent communication skills and the confidence to work independently while providing a high level of customer service. The role operates Monday to Friday, with participation in an on-call rota covering evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, repair, replace, and maintain telecare equipment at customer locations.
* Provide clear guidance and support to service users, ensuring they understand how to use the equipment safely and effectively.
* Assess situations and take appropriate action in line with company procedures and training.
* Accurately update service user records and maintain relevant documentation using company systems.
* Work safely and independently while remaining in regular contact with the wider team.
Requirements:
* A caring, calm, and empathetic approach, with excellent communication skills.
* Confidence working independently in a field-based, lone-working environment.
* Willingness to participate in a rolling on-call rota, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
* Full UK Driving Licence (a company vehicle will be provided).
* Basic IT skills and good attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
* Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
