Are you a Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer looking to join a business investing heavily in its people, equipment and future? This is a dayshift 4 on 4 off role.
We're recruiting for a growing food manufacturing business that is expanding its engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to move into a role where you'll have genuine input into improving reliability, reducing downtime and supporting exciting site improvement projects.
The Role
You'll be responsible for maintaining a range of automated production equipment while helping drive a proactive maintenance culture. Alongside planned and reactive maintenance, you'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance.
Diagnose and repair faults to minimise downtime.
Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Work on production equipment including mixers, ovens, conveyors and associated machinery.
Complete maintenance records using a CMMS.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with food manufacturing standards.
About You
Time-served Mechanical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
Previous maintenance experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced production environment.
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
Experience using a CMMS.
Proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement
