Maintenance Engineer - Watford

BMS require a Static Electrician/Maintenance Engineer to carry out a range of reactive and planned maintenance tasks across commercial premises.
The role involves basic electrical works alongside general maintenance duties to ensure the building and its systems remain safe, functional, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out minor electrical installations (e.g. sockets, switches, lighting fittings)

* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, including power loss and tripped breakers

* Perform repairs to lighting systems and other electrical equipment

* Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), including emergency lighting flick tests and basic inspections

* Respond to reactive maintenance issues in a timely manner

* Complete basic non-electrical maintenance tasks such as:

* Repairing automatic soap dispensers

* Fixing minor plumbing items (e.g. taps)

* General building fabric repairs where required

* Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with relevant regulations and site procedures

* Maintain clear and accurate records of work completed

Requirements:

* Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent)

* Basic fault-finding and maintenance experience

* Good understanding of health and safety practices

* Flexible and proactive approach to a variety of maintenance tasks

Summary:
This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role suited to a practical electrician comfortable carrying out both electrical works and general building maintenance tasks
