Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Waltham Forest seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one support for a Year 2 pupil with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) during the mornings. The successful candidate will help the pupil access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential within the classroom.
The school is looking for a patient, caring and proactive individual with previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs. Experience working with pupils with Autism is highly desirable. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities, encourage independence, and promote positive social and emotional development.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school.
Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with Autism.
A calm, nurturing, and positive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for helping children succeed.
