The Role:
University College Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer in the Built Environment with expertise in Quantity and Building surveying. This role is ideal for an academic or industry expert who is passionate about shaping the future workforce in advanced and technology-driven construction sectors
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience or research interests in areas such as:
* Civil Engineering
* Building Surveying
* Quantity Surveying
* Building Inspection and Defects
* Refurbishment and Maintenance
* Measurement and Estimating
* CAD and digital modelling
* AI applications in construction
The successful candidate will:
* Deliver high-quality, innovative, and inclusive teaching to support student success
* Contribute significantly to curriculum design in Quantity surveying, Building surveying and related areas
* Bring strong research-informed practice and/or industry expertise into their teaching
* Support students in achieving their academic, technical, and professional ambitions
* Engage actively in departmental development and continuous improvement
