Starting off on days for training this will move to a shift pattern which is a mixture of DAYS and NIGHTS, working from Monday to Thursday depending on business needs.
6.30am starts, so must be able to reach Reading for early starts.
This is an administrative role providing daily support to the Lab Team in Chemistry Lab and the Quality Department. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is able to follow standard work processes unaided. The successful candidate possesses a high level of accuracy and eye for detail as well as good organisation and time-management skills. Of advantage is previous work experience in a Lab environment, good understanding of GMP practices and willingness to comply with PPE standards (e.g. Lab coat, safety glasses, gloves)
Examples of tasks that can be expected:
Simple analytical testing in the Chemistry Lab such as odour, density and texture (separate training will be provided)
Moving equipment/consumables/documents from Archive
Maintaining 5S standards in both Labs, including tidying up, cleaning of surfaces in Lab and organising files and cupboards
Moving finished product samples to the retain archive with the help of a trolley and filing the samples
Maintaining a list of consumables/equipment needed
Waste disposal - Chemistry
Dishwasher (filling/emptying) for Lab glassware
Creating labels for raw material and Finished Product samples
Cleaning and maintenance of Lab instruments (specific training will be provided) following a daily/weekly schedulePlease only apply if happy to work shifts as above.
