Accounts Payable Clerk
(18-Month Fixed-Term Contract, Part-Time)
Hours: Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday, 9:15am–3:00pm (approx)
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (full-time equivalent), £23,000 - £29,500 per annum (pro rata)
A financial services firm are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable assistant to to join their team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to support the business during the implementation of a new finance system.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage the registration and payment of supplier invoices.
Prepare weekly cash flow requirements, advising the Finance Director of payment needs by currency.
Code invoices accurately to the appropriate cost centres and departments using the SUN accounting system.
Provide information to support quarterly VAT returns.
Recharge Head Office costs to business units.
Arrange foreign currency conversions where required.
Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting financial data.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.Skills and Experience
•Previous experience in a similar role is essential
•Commercial understanding of invoice processing
•Good level of knowledge of UK VAT
•Strong teamwork skills
•Excellent communication skills both oral and written
•Strong attention to detail
•Ability to juggle many tasks concurrently by prioritising effectively
•Strong IT skills on Microsoft Office suite
•SUN and SAP experience would be useful but not essential
