Are you looking to start a career within a laboratory environment? Do you have a keen interest in science and enjoy working in a structured, highly regulated setting? If so, we have an excellent opportunity available for a Laboratory Assistant based in Tarvin.

Please note: Due to the location, applicants must have their own transport and be able to drive.

The Role

Working across four different laboratories, you will provide essential support to laboratory teams by preparing samples, maintaining equipment, and ensuring labs remain clean, organised and compliant with strict procedures.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain laboratory experience. A scientific degree is not required - we're looking for someone with the right attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine interest in laboratory work.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing sample packs for testing activities.
Setting up and preparing laboratory equipment.
Transferring and processing data relating to samples.
Booking in and setting up microbiology samples and swabs.
Maintaining accurate records and following strict procedures.
Handling laboratory waste appropriately.
Cleaning and preparing laboratory areas to required standards.
Working within a highly regulated environment and adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.What We're Looking For

A genuine interest in laboratory, scientific, or technical environments.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills.
Reliable and proactive approach to work.
Ability to follow procedures accurately.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Comfortable working in a regulated environment.
Must be able to drive and have access to your own transport.
