The School and Role
A welcoming primary school in Sunderland is seeking a full-time Year 1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils' learning within the classroom. The role involves working closely with the class teacher, delivering small group interventions, and providing additional support where needed. Previous phonics experience, particularly with recognised schemes, is preferred. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about helping children develop confidence and achieve their full potential.
Requirements:
The desired Teaching Assistant will have;
Experience of working within KS1.
Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
A passion for the progress of pupils.
An ability to work as part of a team.
