INSIDE SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Salary: £35,000–£37,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Hours: Full-Time, Office-Based
We are supporting a leading distributor of water management and technical infrastructure solutions in their search for an Inside Sales Account Manager to join their growing commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive sales professional to build long-term customer relationships, identify new business opportunities and drive sustainable sales growth. Working within a collaborative and supportive environment, you'll play a key role in developing existing accounts while supporting new customer acquisition, with clear opportunities for career progression into Key Account Management and other commercial roles.
The Role: As Inside Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for:
Account Management – Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers to maximise long-term business opportunities.
Sales Development – Identifying customer needs and proactively increasing account spend through consultative selling.
Solution Selling – Preparing tailored quotations and presenting value-driven technical solutions that meet customer requirements.
Sales Negotiation – Managing opportunities from initial enquiry through to quotation, negotiation and order completion.
Customer Service Excellence – Providing outstanding customer support while ensuring enquiries and orders are handled efficiently.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Working closely with external sales teams and internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Commercial Growth – Supporting business growth by identifying new opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts.
Sales Administration – Maintaining accurate customer records and using CRM and digital tools to manage sales activities effectively. What We're Looking For:
1–3 years' experience in an internal sales, account management or technical sales role.
Experience within the irrigation, water management or technical distribution sectors.
Knowledge of water piping systems or related technical products.
Experience selling technical or engineered solutions.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Commercially minded with a proactive approach to sales.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Customer-focused with strong negotiation skills.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM or other digital business systems.
A-Level education or equivalent.
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a desire to develop a long-term sales career
