Finance Manager
Location: Surrey
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Our client is a well-established, family-owned business operating within the retail, hospitality and visitor attraction sector. With a strong reputation for delivering outstanding customer experiences and continued business growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to join their senior management team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a diverse and fast-paced business where you'll work closely with the Directors to support financial performance and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
Produce accurate monthly management accounts.
Prepare budgets, forecasts and cashflow reports.
Oversee purchase and sales ledgers.
Manage VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.
Oversee payroll and pension administration.
Complete bank reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
Liaise with external accountants and auditors.
Provide financial analysis and commercial insight to support business decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and financial performance.
Support the Directors with strategic planning and business growth.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Finance role.
AAT qualified, ACCA / CIMA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero or similar.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
The ability to work independently while supporting a wider management team.
Experience within hospitality, retail, tourism or leisure sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
