An opportunity has become available for a Shift Mechanical Fitter at our Inverness facility in Inverness, Highland region.

This is a full time permanent position that will require shift work, with an excellent salary & benefits package.

This position will report the Mechanical Supervisor and Shift Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

* Repair of mechanical breakdowns throughout the plant

* Carry out preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment as required

* Identify and report any signs of equipment failure

* Ensure all documentation is kept up to date

* Install and commission equipment and services as requested

* Adopt and maintain good engineering and housekeeping procedures in all work areas

* Work carried out in accordance with permit to work code of practice

* Assist with other engineering work when and where required as directed by Mechanical supervisor

Essential Requirements

* Minimum City & Guilds/ONC level in a mechanical discipline

* Full 4-year apprenticeship completed

* Industrial maintenance experience preferred

* A strong health and safety awareness and the ability to work unsupervised
