The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join one of the UK's leading residential developers on a flagship mixed-tenure development in Cardiff.

The Role
As Site Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager to assist in the successful delivery of a large mixed residential development comprising both traditional housing and apartment blocks.
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of designated areas of the project, ensuring work is carried out safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, maintaining health and safety compliance, and driving programme performance across the development.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Project Manager with the daily management of the construction programme.
Manage subcontractors, direct labour, plant, and material deliveries.
Oversee construction activities across traditional housing and apartment builds.
Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to company quality standards.
Carry out regular quality inspections, snagging, and defect management.
Maintain site health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times.
Coordinate site logistics and ensure efficient sequencing of works.
Monitor progress against programme and assist in achieving key project milestones.
Liaise with technical, commercial, customer care, and design teams.
Attend site meetings and provide progress updates to the Project Manager.
Promote a positive working culture with a strong focus on teamwork and quality.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Manager within residential construction.
Experience delivering traditional housing, apartment developments, or mixed-use residential schemes.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and work packages simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to programme delivery.
