Accounts Payable Officer
Location: Witney (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary (3 weeks)
We're recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing organisation looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their friendly finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous purchase ledger/accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organisation and strong communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and on time
Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies
Maintaining and reconciling the purchase ledger
Preparing supplier payment runs
Managing supplier queries and building positive working relationships
Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions
Supporting month-end processes and cash flow reporting
Assisting with continuous improvements to finance processes
Providing support across the wider finance function when required
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
